REJUVENATION
As Newcastle’s longest operating and most awarded menswear store, we are proud to launch our new campaign – Rejuvenation. After a challenging few years for everyone, Rejuvenation represents a reconnecting with our social Novocastrian lifestyle. With shared events and interactions available to us again, we look forward to fitting you for all life’s occasions with expertise that only comes from 114 years of experience.
Being able to serve customers face-to-face in-store, and the joy of helping someone feel, look, and be confident in their attire is why we do what we do at Rundle Tailoring. This campaign is a celebration of the local community that keeps us going and features an all-local creative team that exemplifies Newcastle’s cultural contributions.
Rundle Tailoring has persevered through many world-changing events over our 114 years in Newcastle. The business has endured wars, economic depressions, pandemics, and more. Now, emerging from the past two years of Covid, we have evolved again, and want to celebrate the endurability of the Novocastrian spirit with a campaign that’s uniquely Newcastle. We would not have succeeded throughout all these challenges without the supportive community spirit of our honoured locals. If you ask most Newcastle locals, they’ll share their connection to Rundle Tailoring; their family members worked with us, their wedding party shopped with us, their first suit was purchased from us, and so on. Therefore, we wanted to honour our heritage and the community which sustains us, with our love letter to a rejuvenated Newcastle. So what better location than our hometown to shoot our new campaign.
Rejuvenation features statement menswear looks against a backdrop of iconic local institutions. It seemed fitting to shoot part of our campaign at the luxury Crystalbrook Kingsley, as it has undertaken its own rejuvenation from the old council building to Newcastle’s first 5-star premier hotel. From the art-deco beauty of the Newcastle Ocean Baths to the strikingly picturesque Christ Church Cathedral, we wanted to showcase some of the many culturally significant landmarks that embellish this city.
Our campaign shoot showcases local creatives, local landmarks and local talent. As one of the few businesses continuing to locally manufacture quality menswear, Rundle Tailoring always seeks to amplify other local businesses, and in doing so, foster opportunities in our community. Lara Lupish and her team from Façon Creative developed and produced our new campaign, along with film-maker Aaron Haberfield from Toy Box Films and photographer Paul Dear. While Bryce and Ty from Ocean Way Collective captured behind the scenes footage of our team making magic. Tallas Lynch, a local on the Newcastle modelling and surf scenes, was our hero model for the campaign, while you might recognise Josh and Liam from the shop as Tallas’s trusty groomsmen. Alana Johansson and Chelsea Evans lent their skills to ensure hair and make-up was looking schmick. And a big thank you to Melissa Waite for the beautiful gown worn by stunning local model Zahara Paris in the wedding scenes.
So whether you are attending a beach wedding on Newcastle’s pristine shoreline, enjoying work drinks at the Cystalbrook Kingsley Roundhouse, or attending a black-tie event in the City, Rundle Tailoring will have you dressed for all occasions.
