The Annual 2 Montys Charity Wedding Auction is Coming!

Since 2019, our incredible local wedding celebrants Monty Haron & Monty King aka The 2 Monty’s, known for their huge hearts, expert wedding celebrant skills and love of having a laugh have been orchestrating an extraordinary charity wedding auction giving one lucky couple the chance to bid on a dream wedding package all for charity.

Harnessing the power of community over competition they rally each year to get donations from some epic local wedding vendors who donate a whole wedding package to be auctioned off for charity. From the rings, photographers, wedding outfits to the venue, they put together a whole wedding package to be auctioned with the highest bidders getting everything organised for their wedding day and 100% of the cost being donated to charity.

We are thrilled to be part of the annual 2 Monty’s charity auction, which is fast approaching again this year being held at The Anchorage, Port Stephens on Sunday 14^th of February (Valentines Day) with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Mark Hughes Foundation centre for brain cancer research.

Amy & Chris were married at Peterson House on the 28th July 2023. They donated $42K to Jenny’s Place a local charity helping women and children who have experienced domestic violence or homelessness rebuild their lives.

We were honoured to make Chris a custom made-to-measure wedding suit complete with a precious photo of his late Mum inside the lining.

Their stunning wedding was wedding was worth $100K.

Chris & Amy had this to say about their experience: “Honestly If we could do it again we would do it every year. It was the best experience, so much fun, planning things with vendors totally on board and going well and truly above and beyond & all working seamlessly together.

For 2 busy people with work and other commitments, after talking to vendors at wedding days, it was evident we got lucky to get a date at the venue with vendors from all accounts some of the best in the industry for the Newcastle / Hunter Valley area to have them on board was unbelievable.

To the next couple that get 2024 and hopefully 2025 and beyond, It’s an exclusive family to be a part of and if you can, you might get lucky, score the dream wedding for a very good price, and all your money goes to charity helping countless other people in need in some of their darkest times.”

Russ & Kate donated $55K to RUN DIPG a charity dedicated to improving outcomes for patients, families and communities impacted by the deadliest form of childhood cancer – the brainstem cancer, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), also known as diffuse midline glioma (DMG). A charity close to their hearts. Their wedding value was $80K.

They were married at Enzo Hunter Valley on the 24th of June 2022 and their luxuriously chic day was captured by Nicole Butler Photography.

We were honoured to make Russ a custom navy made to measure suit with black peak lapel for their special day and dressed his groomsmen in sharp Gibson Quantum suits.

Tatum & Tyler donated $40,100 to Starlight Australia who in partnership with health professionals bring fun, joy and laughter that helps sick kids be kids.

Their wedding date had to be postponed due to lockdown restrictions but the wait was worth it, and they had a beautiful wedding on the 11th July 2020 at Stanley Park. Their wedding was worth $75K.

Tatum had this to say about the experience: “We had the most amazing time at our wedding thanks to all of our wonderful vendors! The Monty’s charity wedding ticked all of our boxes from the get-go. We loved that the organisation and selections were done for us and that we were in good hands with the industry’s best and most generous vendors!

It was just the cherry on the top knowing our donation was going to such an amazing cause – The Starlight Foundation. If we had our time again, we would 110% do the charity wedding!”

We were honoured to dress Tyler & his groomsmen for their wedding day in sharp Navy suits.

Emma & Brody donated $34,500 to Camp Quality an Australian children’s cancer charity that has been improving the quality of life for kids facing cancer for 40 years.

Their gorgeous wedding was on the 20th of July 2019 at the picturesque Stanley Park. Emma looked absolutely beautiful and Brody & his groomsmen looked sharp dressed in Rundle Tailoring.

About the experience Brody says: ” Being part of the 2 Monty’s Charity Wedding was the best thing we did! Having all the vendors chosen for us made wedding planning a dream. All the vendors that were included were top quality and to have them organised for the same day was amazing.

The Monty’s and all the vendors made the entire process fun. We loved working with them in the lead up and couldn’t have asked for a better day on our big day.”

Emma’s words about the experience: “We feel so grateful to have had a dream wedding with the costs going directly to Camp Quality. To be able to have a day to celebrate ourselves as well as giving back made the day even more special.

My mum had breast cancer when I was younger so given the charity was already chosen was personal for me.
