The 14th National Designer of Dreams Awards were celebrated with an intimate gala dinner at Flaxton Gardens on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Walking into the beautifully styled venue, with its warm lighting, fresh florals, and panoramic views, the atmosphere was electric. It was a special gathering of the country’s top wedding vendors who are all committed to creating unforgettable wedding experiences.
The announcement of Rundle Tailoring as the winner best wedding suits in Australia filled our entire team with immense pride. “As a family-run, heritage business, we’re just the custodians of a brand that has been going for over a century,” Bronwyn shared upon accepting the award. “And we hope we’re doing it justice. We’re so proud to have an inclusive space where men and women can come for their wedding suit. We treat everyone the same because we want them to have a good feeling when they arrive, and to leave feeling fantastic too. It’s a privilege to be among a group of wedding professionals who go above and beyond, because we really believe in the wedding community of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.”

Andrew and Bronwyn Rundle attended the black-tie event in style — each wearing a look that showcased our expertise in made-to-measure suiting.
- Andrew’s look: A made-to-measure plum wool double-breasted suit, paired with a black Brooksfield Australia dress shirt, an Otaa tie, and classic black loafers. A sophisticated and modern twist on classic eveningwear, it’s a perfect representation of the kind of look many of our grooms opt for — and shows the breadth of service at Rundle Tailoring, where you can purchase a complete bridal look from suit to shoes and finishing accessories.
- Bronwyn’s look: A made-to-measure aubergine suit featuring a wider notch lapel finished with a vintage rhinestone and lace collar. When Bronwyn found the collar browsing Newcastle vintage store Eclectic Corner, she knew it had enormous potential. One of our talented seamstresses, Peta, tacked the collar onto the lapels with non-permanent stitching so that the detail could be easily removed after the event and Bronwyn could continue to enjoy wearing the suit in the future.
Bronwyn’s custom suit demonstrates the creativity, attention to detail, and personalisation we bring to every client project. We work closely with every wedding customer to ensure their suit is an authentic reflection of their style and personality. Because what matters most is that the wearer feels confident and stylish in their suit — that’s when we know we’ve done our job.
