Jose is a Spanish man who’s work brought him to Australia. Little did he know that taking a job abroad would lead him to meet the love of his life, Narelle in Sydney in March 2014 and they have been happy in love ever since.
Initially, the happy couple were moving to Canberra for Jose’s work so they had looked at the Southern Highlands as the location for their non-traditional, relaxed rustic wedding day, given it was half way between Canberra and Sydney. Narelle say’s “I had always liked the area and we spent a weekend down there together so it was special to us. Although we didn’t end up living in Canberra, we loved the area and wanted to keep the destination there. I came across Sylvan Glen while browsing the internet as we were living overseas at the time. It ticked all the boxes and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice”.
On 23rd March 2019 surrounded by 71 of their closest friend’s and family, with their 2 year old daughter Eveline between them, Jose and Narelle said ‘I do’.
When asked what their favourite memories of their wedding day were, Narelle tells us it was “Walking down the aisle seeing this handsome Spanish man in a dashing suit waiting for me was like a dream come true. Being surrounded by our family and friends from all over Australia and overseas was pretty amazing…we felt very lucky! Our ceremony and reception was very personalized and I would say unique, which made it so special for us and those that celebrated the occasion with us”. Jose says that “Sharing the special day with my parents who came out from Spain, and my special friends from overseas. Saying “I Do” to Narelle and having Eveline (our 2-year-old daughter) between our legs through the ceremony was a special moment for me. It was one of the happiest days of my life!
The couple shared their first dance to ‘Teach me how to Dance’ by the Causes. It’s a song Jose and Narelle both really liked and thought was an appropriate choice. Narelle adds, “There was a surprise for Jose and all of the wedding guests when I got up to sing a song for him. It was the acoustic version of Rhythm Inside by Callum Scott. This took everyone by surprise…including myself!”
Jose had his wedding suit made to measure by Rundle Tailoring, channeling his inner James Bond in a classic, timeless dinner suit but with a stylish twist, made in electric blue fabric and black satin lapel from Holland and Sherry’s Target range. Jose completed his look with a white shirt and black bow tie.
“I had an excellent experience with Rundle Tailoring. They gave me some very good advice on the suit colour as I only had a picture of what I wanted. They were very professional and it was a very personalized service. I had many compliments on my suit on the wedding day and my wife loved it!” Jose says of his Rundle Tailoring experience.
Rundle Wedding Tip:-
When it comes to wearing a bold coloured suit on your wedding day, wearing it with confidence is key. You may not be accustomed to wearing a lot of a single color, but rock it as though you’ve been wearing it for years and you will wow your guests almost as much as your bride!
