This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who have shaped Rundle Tailoring — and inviting our community to nominate one woman to receive a Made-to-Measure suit experience, delivered with the care and craftsmanship that has defined our business for 118 years.
For generations, women have been at the heart of our story. In our workrooms, in our retail space, in leadership and as valued clients, they have shaped the standards, culture and future of our family business.
Through our Tailored Together campaign, we wanted to celebrate that legacy — not just by telling stories, but by creating a moment of recognition.
The Women in Front of the Camera
At the heart of Tailored Together is a portrait series celebrating the women who create our garments and the women who wear them.
Our seamstresses were photographed at work in our Newcastle factory, where the magic truly happens. Among fabric rolls, pattern tables and sewing machines, their portraits capture the skill, focus and pride behind every finished garment.
The women who wear our suits were photographed at Found Studio in Wickham, each wearing her own bespoke suit styled to reflect her personality, profession and sense of self. The shoot was brought together by a talented local crew of women, creating an atmosphere that felt warm, relaxed and celebratory.
These portraits are more than fashion imagery. They reflect confidence earned, craftsmanship refined, and the quiet strength women carry in their workplaces, families and communities, both in front of and behind the scenes.
“Being part of this campaign with Rundle Tailoring meant more than just a photoshoot to me. It was about standing alongside strong, inspiring women from different walks of life, connected through an item of clothing that celebrated our own confidence, individuality and power . It felt really special to be chosen to not only represent my own brand, but also representing the Rundle family name,” says Teresa Henri, Director of Finance at Atmosphere Capital.
“I work with suits every day, helping others find pieces that make them feel confident and proud. But being able to wear one of my own, one that I had the amazing opportunity of creating myself, felt so special,” says Dannikah Pold, Rundle Tailoring retail staff and teaching student. “What made it even more meaningful was the women I stood alongside. We had such a beautiful range of ages, and each of them shared stories that were powerful, personal and inspiring in their own way. Hearing their experiences reminded me that confidence looks different in every stage of life, and that there is so much strength in simply showing up as yourself.”
Recognising Women in Every Season
As part of the campaign, Rundle Tailoring is inviting nominations for a woman in the community to receive a special Made-to-Measure suiting experience.
“We’re excited to reward a woman in our community, but she doesn’t need a title or a milestone,” said Bronwyn of the intentionally broad nomination process, which also warmly encourages self-nomination.
“She might be building something new. She might be caring for others. She might be leading quietly. She may simply be the person who answers the phone every time you call. This is about celebrating women in all seasons of life and reminding them they deserve to be seen.”
One lucky woman will receive the full Made-to-Measure experience with Rundle Tailoring. Once her suit is complete, she’ll enjoy:
- A celebratory portrait session with Dear Fiore Photography
- Professional hair and makeup styling on set by Bonnie-Lee Mooney of Makeup By Bonnie Lee
- Content creation from Inbound Media Co to capture the moment
- A live portrait illustration from Ink + Snow
- And a celebratory dining experience, with thanks toRoundhouse Restaurant at Crystalbrook Kingsley.
It is a moment designed to recognise her thoughtfully and beautifully.
We invite anyone to nominate a special woman, but we also warmly encourage self-nomination from women in the community! Nominations close March 31 at 11.59pm EST.

Hair and makeup were provided by Sarah Bezzina of MBL Bride and Madi Ingham of Face Lady, catering by Leah Della-Grotta at Sea Salt & Sage, with live illustration by Alisha Milajew of Ink + Snow — a fitting tribute to the artistry behind both tailoring and storytelling. Also bringing the campaign to life was Alice Johnson from Imprint Newcastle and the talented women of Maret Larnach Styling, who designed our incredible window display.
A Legacy Built Behind the Seams
Inside our Newcastle West factory, generations of skilled seamstresses have upheld the standards Rundle Tailoring is known for today. Some of the women who guide and mentor younger team members have spent decades refining their craft, passing down knowledge, patience and pride stitch by stitch.
Under fourth-generation leadership, that legacy continues through the development of skills for women in the workplace, creating a welcoming and respectful experience for female clients, and standing alongside women through partnerships with local charities and initiatives, like Divas on the Green, Got Your Back Sista, Jenny’s Place and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
“We have always been a business built by women as much as for them,” says Bronwyn Rundle. “From the workroom to the fitting room, women have shaped our standards, our culture and our future. International Women’s Day felt like the right moment to honour that.
Developing our women’s Made-to-Measure service, and offering a welcoming space where anyone feels comfortable to discover bespoke suiting, has been so rewarding for me. Seeing the confidence on a woman’s face, and in the way she holds herself, when she first tries on her suit is an incredibly special moment.”
