There’s something special about being in the room when a new season begins — and last week’s Newcastle Knights 2026 Season Launch was exactly that.
For our team at Rundle Tailoring, it was a proud and exciting night. After months of fittings and preparation, seeing the boys step onto the stage in their new corporate uniforms — looking sharp, standing tall, united — was a moment we genuinely loved. Even better was hearing their reaction: they felt a million dollars.
That’s what matters most to us.
Why the Newcastle Knights Season Launch Matters
When players feel confident and comfortable in what they’re wearing, it changes the way they carry themselves. Whether they’re fronting media, attending sponsor functions or arriving at home games, that confidence becomes part of how they represent Newcastle. A well-fitted suit isn’t just about appearance — it’s about presence.
Watching the team debut their new look in that environment, surrounded by sponsors, staff and supporters, reinforced why this partnership means so much to us. It’s not just about suiting players. It’s about helping them feel ready for the moments where they represent the club beyond the field.
Leadership and Vision for the Season Ahead
The evening also gave us the opportunity to hear directly from club leadership. Head coach Justin Holbrook spoke about the standards being set for the year ahead and the responsibility that comes with wearing the Knights jersey. CEO Peter Parr shared his vision for the season and the belief building within the organisation. There was a clear sense of momentum — but also a grounded understanding of the work required to achieve it.
Community Connections at the Newcastle Knights Season Launch
Beyond the formalities, it was a wonderful night to reconnect with the wider Knights community. Catching up with fellow sponsors and long-time supporters reminded us just how deeply embedded the club is in Newcastle. There’s a genuine pride across everyone involved — and a collective desire to see the team succeed.
We loved running into old friends and familiar faces. You’re always sure to spot an Old Boy at a Knights function, and sure enough Mark Hughes, Steve Crowe and Kurt Gidley were there supporting the home team. We also caught up with Adam Murray, a long-time customer and friend of our business, and spoke with several of the players including Kalyn Ponga, Jacob Saifiti, Mat Croker, Dylan Brown and Dom Young.
Looking Ahead After the Newcastle Knights Season Launch
With the team preparing for their Las Vegas trip and the season opener just around the corner, the launch felt like a genuine turning point — the moment where anticipation becomes action.
For us, being there to see the boys step out with confidence, knowing they felt fantastic in their suits, was incredibly rewarding. It’s a small part of the bigger picture, but an important one. When players and staff feel comfortable and proud in what they’re wearing, it supports the way they show up in every professional environment.
The room felt united, optimistic and ready.
We’re proud to stand behind the Newcastle Knights as they represent our city — winners on and off the field — and we’re wishing them every success for the 2026 season ahead.
